Two Poems by Kathleen Mitchell

After Signing the Divorce Decree

I drag my hand through
the aquarium touch tank
jellyfish bodies mesh and collide
so many transparent moons
it’s too much gravity
for a glassed-in sky

On Forgiveness

Bees drone in C#
a healing frequency
honeys the synapses

if I could be moved
to sympathy
I would fill him with bees
